Boracay Island continues to meet expectations on target tourist arrivals, with the first ten months of 2019 registering 151.76 percent more tourists than in the same period in 2018.

Records from the Aklan Provincial Government Tourism Office showed that 1,742,459 tourists visited the famous island from January to October 2019, overtaking 2018’s 692,124 by 1,050,35.

According to the tourism department, tourist arrivals in Boracay are expected to rise in the coming months, partly due to the island’s continuing recovery since reopening in October 2018 and the arrival of several cruise ships from European countries.
With tourists from emerging markets like Australia, Hong Kong, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Sweden adding to the numbers, the Department of Tourism – Boracay remains optimistic that visitor numbers will continue to grow.
